This workshop provides a quick tutorial on basic watercolor skills and drawing techniques focusing on self expression and creative ideas. The goal of this workshop is to encourage youth to express themselves in a creative and visual format by creating an engaging and fun environment. This workshop provides a baseline for participants explore drawing and watercolour

Outcomes:

  • Simplifying forms into basic shapes.

  • Detailing more complex forms out of basic shapes.

  • Basic colour mixing/colour theory.

  • Basic watercolour techniques such as flat wash and gradient.


Murals

This workshops is a large scale collaborative process between the wellness team and community members to produce a painted mural. Theme and subject matter is determined by the youth with collaboration with our team. The goal of this workshop is to build community and instill pride in participants through collaborative team efforts and creative visioning.

Outcomes:

  • Building a beginner skill set of acrylic/spray painting techniques.

  • Unified team building through the collective process of mural production.

  • Successful execution of translating small scale work into larger than life scale art production.

  • Beginning to practice drafting and planning their art process for projects.


Screen Printing

Our Screen Printing workshops are a great way to form connections and have introductions with a school or community. We teach participants about the process of silk screen printing onto blank t-shirts! Our team supplies all necessary equipment.

Outcomes:

  • Participants create a one of a kind custom t-shirt to take home.

  • Awareness established within the community / group about our team and programming.
