Anya Braeuner, Child & Youth Advocacy Caseworker, YCAO

Anya was born in Montreal but raised in France. She is honoured to live and work on the Kwänlin Dün First Nation and Taʼan Kwächʼän Council Traditional Territories since 2018. Anya’s career in Europe and Canada has focused almost entirely on children and youth – either advocating for their rights or accompanying them on their academic and personal journeys. She is passionate about social justice and firmly believes that investing in youth wellbeing and upholding their rights is essential to our collective futures.

Anya has a Master’s degree in Education Sciences and a degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology.

Christopher Tse, Systemic & Policy Analyst, YCAO

Christopher was born and raised in BC and has lived and worked extensively abroad, but these days he feels very fortunate to call the Yukon home.

Almost his whole career has been focused on youth, whether as a facilitator, educator, or social worker. Christopher believes deeply that young people have the power to create sustainable change in the world and their own lives, and is passionate about making sure they have the platform to do so.

Christopher has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Rights Journalism and a Master’s degree in Social Work.

Kathleen Napier, Co-Director of Communications, YFNED

Kathleen was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario. She moved to Whitehorse in 2017 from Halifax.

Kathleen has worked in communications for more than 15 years, helping governments, industry associations and NGOs connect with citizens, members and audiences. For the past seven years, the majority of her work has centred around work with both First Nations governments and the Yukon government on engagement campaigns, educating and engaging Yukon First Nations citizens. Kathleen has a Master’s degree in Journalism, specializing in data and investigations.
