Thanks for coming out to our October Halloween Feast and our November Christmas Feast, both held at Elijah Smith Elementary School. It was wonderful to see so many happy families sharing delicious meals together.

The next feast will be held on January 18 at the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre.

December at Early Years

All families with Indigenous kids aged 0-5, whether registered with our program or not, are welcome to attend our drop-ins. There will be snacks, activities, beading and knitting supplies, and a chance to see our space and meet the Early Years team.

Sheds! Sheds! Sheds!

YFNED Trades program has been hammering up a storm with various groups of Indigenous learners across the territory. Three sheds have been constructed in the last month: one in Mayo and two built in Whitehorse with one going to Carcross and the other to Ama Ku, YFNED's land-based learning campus.

Thanks to all our partners and funders: Yukon U and Early Years. Thanks to First Nation of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun and Carcross/Tagish First Nation. Was fantastic working with your youth!

This is a pilot project looking at how hands-on trades programming can introduce Indigenous youth to Trades.
